Located in the heart of the picturesque Chiltern Hills and close to one of the most famous stretches of the River Thames WARGRAVE RUNNERS is a thriving and dynamic running club. Club members range from International athletes to casual week end joggers the ethos of the club being one of embracing the aspirations of all members at whatever level they wish to participate.
Since 1984 the club has fostered a strong community spirit with an emphasis on encouraging involvement of all of the family both in its social as well as in its athletic activities. Celebrated locally for its immensely popular 10 K event held in June Wargrave Runners makes a significant contribution to both local and national charities each year.
With regular outruns throughout the week, groups of all different abilities find themselves running along breathtaking routes where it is often difficult to believe that you are only 35 miles west of central London! On the wider scene the Wargrave vest is regularly seen at the London Marathon as well as at any number of race venues in the UK and abroad.
From the very youngest to the most senior runner all share a passion for their sport whilst actively encouraging their club colleagues to achieve. Most importantly the club promotes the enjoyment of running within a sociable environment where training partners become good friends.
